Mentioned a while back about how I got trousers that are too big and buying the same brand one size lower and they are nowhere near fitting me.

I just wondered how you wear your trousers.

My kids all wear them low, under the navel.

As do I, as I have a belly these days.

But the blinking things fall down, so I use a belt. Then when I sit down the buckle digs in my belly.

Mrs S reckons a bloke's waist is above the hip bones and this is where you should wear them. Thus the hip bones stop them from falling down.

How do you wear your trousers?

No belly, so above the hips.
Youths wear them halfway down their legs with their arse exposed.
Comfortable...

I think it depends how they are cut.

In the 80s and 90s, mens trousers were cut to be worn high up on the waist. So they had a much deeper crotch. But I used to wear them on my hips because I like to have a lot of dangle room. And they often had double pleats which made them even more comfy. Then for many years they were cut to be worn more on the hips which I find annoying because it means the crotch isn't very deep. I've not looked recently so I'm not sure what they are like right now.

I have trousers I wear under my belly, with a belt, which have to constantly hitch up, and some much more comfortable ones, which I wear with braces.

I am on a diet, so mine are falling down, if I'm not careful.

A belt digs in, so might buy some smaller sizes.
