No TRV should be fitted to the rad in the room with the room stat though.

Bit pointless fitting a TRV to leave it on maximum setting surely? If it has then set it to the maximum number, usually 5 or 6

My mum has a wireless thermostat. She spends some time in her lounge and some time in her bedroom and she takes the stat with her. Neither room has a TRV.Handy if you ever decide to move the room stat location (particularly a wireless one that presents no restrictions in doing so for the homeowner).

Yes, but I was advising if someone had already had a trv fitted in the same room as the room stat
Whenever I go round there though, it’s a fking sauna but she feels the cold so it suits her.Great!
It does reveal exactly why TRVs are worthwhile fitting though as the room the stat is no longer in will no longer be controlled in your Mum's setup. It's not the end of the world though so you/she shouldn't feel under pressure to change anything, particularly if she's constantly on the move.
