Hi, I’m renovating a property and have an under stairs toilet and kitchen cooker to vent. The natural path of the toilet’s vent is straight past the cooker towards the garden wall.
I’m considering using 1 inline extractor fan, mounted near the gardeb wall, connected to a duct which then tees off to both rooms.
I’d wire in mechanical shutters into each branch. So when the bathroom light is switched on, the shutter is opened and the fan is switched on. When the kitchen extractor switched on, that damper is opened and the fan comes on.
The shutters would stop any poo smells attacking a chef.
This idea seems pretty straightforward and logical to me but I’d be darned if I can find an example to read about.
Am I missing something?
Cheers
Angus
