Hi all

We're living in a rented house that has a Gardiner alarm fitted, unfortunately I have no idea what model it is in order to try and find a manual online.

My housemate started doing some decorating recently and accidentally knocked the cover off on one of the PIR sensors which triggered the tamper PA buzzer.

My only option was to take the cover off and disconnect the live wire to the internal buzzer to stop the noise, as it's our fault I want to try and fix this myself. We cannot afford to pay for an engineer to come out and the Landlord has left it up to use understandably.

Can anyone help identify the alarm and point me in the direction of a manual please? Or advise how I reset the alarm so I can reconnect the buzzer and start using it again please?

Kind regards.

Kris

At a guess make sure the detector lid is back on correctly and the control panel lid ….turn the key to full and back to off .that’s how most key switch alarm panels are reset …

I though diamond 500 was keypad operated and 400 was keyswitch.
It's old and obsolete.

Hi all, just wanted to thank you all for your help! @sparkymarka you were correct, it ended up being the lid on the PIR. I took it off and popped it back on again making sure it was secure and all is well after reconnecting the buzzer.
