Hi, I did check existing posts but couldn't find anything specific to my issue.
I've moved into a new property but the UPVC inner front door has a lock problem, when locking the door, the key functions fine but when unlocking the door, the key wont turn far enough to allow the key to be pulled out.
This means to open the door, it has to be unlocked, opened, then locked with the door open to get the key back, then swap the key to the front side, unlock the door to close it and then lock to remove the key.
I've checked the cam and put a new barrel/cylinder in, but is still having the same issue.
It can't be a function of the door to 'always be locked' as it means going through this nonsense every time I pass through the door.
Can anyone advise what the cause and fix could be, before I call a locksmith?
