UPVC Front Door Not Sealing Properly

Hi All,

So I'm a student in a small uni town and the way some of the houses are here have a front door that opens directly into a ground floor bedroom i.e. my room. I've noticed now that the front door doesn't properly seal in the bottom right corner below the handle and it's leaving enough of a gap for light to come through and obviously air and noise as well.
I've tried tightening the hex nuts to the tightest setting and it hasn't made any difference so I'm a bit stuck now about what I should do? I'll be asking the agents/landlord if there's anything they can do but if they say it's my duty to draught proof etc. does anyone have any advice to try and fix this?

Is the frame loose -I just wonder based on the cracking where it joins the wall -see if you can move the frame with your hand.

Are you checking the gap once the handle is raised fully? -that throws the multipoint lock bolts which pull the door tight.

Without seeing the strike plates or lock, its a bit of a guess to know what adjustment is needed, however in general most locks will have some adjustment -it is a sideway adjustment that pulls the door further in -it should pressurise the draught seal.

If you need more advice maybe post a pic of the strike plate and lock.

Which hex nuts?

Either the door or the frame are distorted. Can you manage to close the gap by pressing on the door bottom?

Who needs to use that door apart from you?

The roller nuts that you can rotate towards or away from the frame to make the lock tighter when you pull the handle up.

If I push my foot against the corner it does seal the gap.

It's just me who uses this door but I've started using the back door like the rest of my housemates so I can use the space there anyway or if my shoes are wet/muddy. Do you think it's worth to just try and place something heavy against it to keep it shut and just use the back door instead?

I can actually wiggle the frame a bit if I push it hard enough especially near the bottom where cracks are a lot bigger

I've turned the rollers that adjust sideways to the closest point to the door (to the point of becoming a bit hard to properly lock it) but it didn't affect the gap so it may be some alignment issue instead?
