Hi everyone.
I have very old UPVC windows in which few units have moisture inside. I decided to change units myslef. To discover thickness of double glazed I had to remove one unit to measure it. The whole procedure I did same way as I saw online. First I removed internal gasket / rubber and than external beading. It was not easy to remove beading but my problem began when I tried install beading back. Because unit is small and outside is cold, plastic is very stiff. On the video I have seen, gentlemen who is installing outside beading first and after he is sticking in back gasket / rubber and job is done and it looks soo easy. Buy when I tried to put all back together unfortunately I couldn't.Always one side was disconnecting from the window frame. My beading has mitres only on shorter beading the longer parts looks like are without mitres. The beading is really solid and stiff, there is no chance to bend it and try to slide it. Inserted glass without the rubber / gasket( like was on the video) is not holding beading in place and because there is a gap betwen glass and beading corners of beading doesn't want to close. Is there any special tools for this task? Any advice will be much appreciated.
Regards.
