Hi all,
My first post! I have a upvc window fitted with mico fittings (essentially an escutcheon plate with mushrooms that slide vertically that engage with stationary retaining brackets). The window has jammed with the mushrooms engaged. Efforts to free the mechanism have failed, now the handle fitting (1/4" or so square bar) has rounded off the drive mechanism. I have removed the handle but still cannot rotate the fitting 1/4 turn clockwise to release the mushrooms. Any thoughts on how best to proceed? Needless to say, access to the fittings are not possible without first opening the window!
Thanks in advance, Alastair
