Using the quote facility

can someone explain to me how to do that quoting what someone has said please? where you see the box with their text in.

click on the
icon_quote.gif
button displayed in the top right corner of every post.


This will bring up the following text in your post reply box:

You can then add your reply here, which will appear below the quote.



(I have made it so that you can see the BB formatting by adding a full stop to the [/quote.] tag)

so whats the difference between the quote button in everyones' replies, and the quote button i can see now when i reply (next to the code, list, list= URL buttons etc)?

If you press the
icon_quote.gif
button in someones post it creates the quote with the authors name in it, which is also a hyperlink to where they wrote it (like my quote of you above)


If you use the quote button next to code on the post reply page you will just see:
