Not sure where to post this query, but hope someone can help.
I've mostly built a garden studio, insulated, cladded and now onto the internal finish with the vcl, but am unsure how to approach the electrical sockets, window frames and doors.
How do you get around sockets, frames, fixings for shelves etc done afterwards that might pierce the vcl???
Ceiling is cold roof - starts inside to out:
OSB > joists and celotex insulation between > 25mm ventilation > osb > EPDM
walls are - starts inside to out:
OSB > VCL > stud and rock wool insulation between > membrane > 25mm ventilation & battens > cladding
floor is - starts inside to out:
wooden floor boards > celotex insulation no gaps > concrete base
Also I presume I need VCL in roof fixed to joists on the inside. Also would I need it under the floor boards if I've got celotex without gaps?
I don't understand how the VCL can avoid being punctured with fixings for shelves etc or how you keep that seal around wiring for sockets/windows/doors etc.
Thanks
