I had an injector spitting fuel (noticed from build of of black tar kind of substance on engine and smell in van)
I had the injector washers changed and ever since the van has lacked acceleration and the kick between gears.
If i now drive in a higher gear at low speed it gets a little constant chug like it’s going to stall (not severe)
I’m taking it back in but want to have some idea of what could have gone wrong?
Has he broker an injector? Dirt blocking the injector? Not connected somethings back up?
Any help appreciated

I think it’s worth checking if the injector needed coding to the vehicle......as it’s necessary in many cases?
John
Ok cool, so if they’re removed they possibly need recoding ?
Mechanic is putting his computer on it tomorrow so will see

They shouldnt need re coding if they are the original injectors, maybe do a visual check of all the pipes etc under the bonnet first or get them to do it.

It’s sorted now. Something like the injectors had come out of alignment. Don’t know exactly what he meant. Almost like they come in 2 sections?
