Velux Window frame Leaking - top corner

Hi, So it's leaking a little when it rains heavy above the bar. I could feel some foam when I pushed my finger to feel for the leak source and that's where I felt the water. I've read a little, there's flashing out there and fixings, foam in there etc. It is quite old this window.

Are these repairable from inside the house, obviously ladders to be able to get up and access the window, or is it something a person needs to get onto the roof to do? It's quite a small window so once you swing the actual window open, it's quite tight to squeeze out and examine the outside of the frame. Can be done though. Decent step ladders, I used one of those collapsible telescopic sets in the attic so I was facing the wrong direction to do this.

I'm very useful with tools I have a skilled trade but I've never touched one of these windows and I'm no roofer on any terms. Should I tackle it, or, how much approx might I expect someone to typically charge me to repair this? I didn't measure the size but it's not very wide. One of the smaller fittings.

How much do they cost to have replaced? Probably a nuclear option I know. Just things I've never priced before.

I'm in Keighley West Yorks. Just trying to decide if this is for me to fix with a kit or if it's really for a specialist.

The sash can be removed from the fame, if needs be. Generally Velux are bomb proof as long as they are fitted according to the (simple) instructions. It's usually a leak from somewhere else, striking the Velux on the way down.

If you do remove the sash, don't do it off a pair of step ladders!
If you post a few pictures from outside that might help identify the issue.

I'll bear that in mind. It's higher than most windows because its one of those attics with a high roof space. Window isn't reachable standing at floor level. I need to check it is a Velux. Are there other brands? I'll Google that, it may just be Velux style. Top of the frame outside is very close to the ridge tiles.
