Hello
I am hoping to build a extension on the side of my house that I will use as a garage. I have been reading about building regs on the roof and was wondering do I need to vent the roof space as suggested? I was going to have a warm roof, as I was hoping to fill the voids between the roof rafter with insulation and plasterboard the inside. I was looking on the Marley website for ideas, and on this document,
www.marley.co.uk › Brochures › A5-accessories-low-res
Under the BS5250 ventilation Guidance Warm Roofs, Page 56 of document, or 55 of pdf. Can I just use the Vapour permeable underlays or the LR underlay as in their diagram?
Also this sort needs me on to, can you have no soffit gap? Can I just secure my weatherboards that I'll attach the gutter to, just be screwed into the roof trusses, leaving me with no gap between the weatherboard and the wall? I am just wondering about overhang concerns.
I mean this space I am going to use for car storage, diy stuff, you know the usual garage space stuff. Wasn't going to heat it.
Regards
Jon
