Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any idea what the source of this cracking might be?
It's a 1960's house with brick walls at ground floor measuring 300 mm thick, the first floor (front and rear elevation) is rendered and measures around 260mm thick so i'm assuming it's a different walling material to the gf. I've tapped the reveals and internal walls etc and it appears solid so maybe blockwork.
The cracking is both horizontal and vertical so not sure if cavity wall tie failure would be the issue in this case as would this be horizontal only?
Similar cracking on rear elevation too and on a couple of houses on the street..
