Me too, but with a new laptop on the horizon, I'll consider anything else that's better.
Which is the best of the free ones, would you say?

I'd go with the Microsoft one these days with no question at all, it works, has a small footprint and is really free, rather than some of the others that always push you to pay for an upgrade.

OK. I'm not so stuck in my ways that I will continue to install second best software just because I'm familiar with it.
You'd go with MS S E?
I switched to avast about 3 years ago after using avg before it. Both worked well for me but avg did slow the computer down noticeably.
I wouldn't disrecommend it.
