Hi

I've just lost most of a day trying to work this out. My ViSonic PowerMaster 30 will send SMS alerts for all events except for when the Alarm goes off. I've changed the private report for SMS to all the different options and studies the installers manuel but can't spot anything thats incorrect. Any advice would be massively appreciated.

Thanks loads

Will

Thanks loads for helping

I use the key fob to activate and cancell the alarm and it's triggered by one of two PIR sensors.

Here's the event log -

system reset
enter installer
general restore
FO3 Cancel-Alarm
Disarm
Alarmed
ARM AWAY

Initially I swapped out the GSM 350 Module for a spare but I'm getting the same result (where it's sending txt's for everything but the Alarm going off) so I figure it's a setting in the alarm.

with no time stamps or what you currently have programmed, normally the default options would be for alarm events to send a SMS.

I would have to refer to the manual to see which option is for alarm and or confirmed alarm.

Event Reporting Chart section in the manual looks like you have all but alarms possibly.

you need to look at that section again.

Nah, I've not got it working yet. I've checked the reporting here >04:Communication 4: Private Report > SMS Report > Reported Events. It's currently set to Alarms but I've tried with all other settings. It's sending txt's for all other events but not Alarms.

I'm really grateful for the help, I'm a bit lost.

Thanks

Will

Set up as private report to ring you. Also see if Gsm report is enabled?

Hi Lums
GSM report is enabled. I've set the private report to Ring me but still no joy. It there anything else I can try? Thanks again!

Will

when you go into the reporting what options are selected.

the manual isnt very clear, but there are options like confirmed and alarm and all but alarm.

so knowing what the panel is saying is selected will help get this resolved.

I'd not thought of that. I'm turning it off as soon as I hear the outside siren go, It's always worked instantly. It there a setting for the time between alarm going off and sending an SMS?

sms are usually quick, but give it a minute and it should have almost certainly come through.

however there is in the manual reference to all but alarms and there are codes relating to what is actually set, so be worth saying exactly what the panel says for the gsm reporting options.

Still no joy. I'm getting texts for everything but Alarms. I'm thinking I should do a reset to factory settings and set it up from scratch. What do you think?
