Hi I have just installed a Powermax GTX and whilst activation gives me a delay to exit the property, on entering triggering a sensor sets off the alarm immediately. I would like 15 seconds of warning before the sirens start. I have tried to change the setting in Installer- Control Panel, but both 01 and 02 choices (entrance/exit delay) are not shown. Is there a generic setting covering all sensors or is the entrance delay something I have to program per sensor? Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks for your help. It was one of the PIR sensors. I've run a diagnostic and all sensors are registered and STRONG, but I guess it's another setting that you mean? I want the whole thing set up in the most basic configuration. I'll only activate the alarm when I'm out, so I need a delay after arming (to get out) and a delay on entering (to give me a chance to switch off). Cheers

so you come in through the door, the entry timer should start, but if the \PIR in that room is set to guard/ intruder then the alarm gets activated straight away.
tto
The sensor should be programmed as a walk through zone, so entry follower/ guard access or whatever the equivalent is on your panel.

the description would be something like:- allows the user to walk past the sensor if the entry/exit device is activated first, or cause an immediate alarm if the entry device has not been activated first.

Yes that's how I want it to work. However with the Visonic system there are global (all sensors) and local (particular sensor) settings. The entry/exit delay seems to a global setting in the manual, but it doesn't appear as a choice in the menu on the control panel. I'm thinking that a local setting needs to be set before I can alter the delay, but I'm buggered if I can find it/make sense of it from the manual.

hmm I don't do these alarms and I would be looking in the manual the same as you.

you are not changing the "DELAY" you should be changing the way the sensor works if possible.

just going to have a brew and if you haven't fond it by then I will download and have a look in the manual

You're a star, I'm just going to check all the settings for the sensors, will post back.

Interior delay possibly

there are follow zone types too but depends on how you are using the system when you are AWAY(full set) or Home (part set) and how you get to the keypad in these conditions.
