This makes me wonder, how many other countries use Ring Mains wiring? The US does not, and in fact if I understand ring mains correctly, it's actually a violation of our codes!
 
Isn't it bizarre how one country can virtually insist on it,and make cogent arguments in favour of its safety, and another one can actually ban it.

It does make you want to always question the sanity, purpose, reasoning and justification for any regulation.

But I've done that, and that way lies madness, recrimination and angry exchanges... :lol:
