We have a 2016 VW Touran. We recently noticed that there was water leaking in to the driver side footwell. The mat is soaking wet and happens when ever we have rain. Nothing on passenger side. Any ideas as to what it may be?
Picture 1 you can see the water leaking in
Picture 2 is under the bonnet, far left hand side there is some water pooling (not on other side)
Picture 3 full engine shot
Thanks

Lift the bonnet and look for leaves in void below the screen.....where the wiper mechanisms are. Drain holes in this area frequently block and allow water inside.

Checked and nothing but there blocked

Please forgive me, this reminds me of a clip from "Wheeler Dealers"!
Do you have access to a smoke machine! ;)

Get someone to run the hosepipe over it while you watch inside.
could be anything from a leaky cable grommet to a poorly fitted windscreen.

Noticed in the engine bay on my vw caddy there has been a weep of water, I had taken off the dusty sound proofing fabric attached to the underside of the wiper area, where the metal body has been folded and pressed together is where this water has come through. Presume the fabric has been moping this up normally. Perhaps yours is similar, but making its way the other side of the bulkhead.

Only took it off the other day, but had some heavy downpours since then.

From some googling sunroof drains came up quite a few times so I checked and the driver-side one is def blocked as there is a puddle of water - Now have to figure out how to unblock. All the videos seem to need an air compressor.
