Hi All

Advice please
I have rewired my house here in fRANCE Had the Diangtic done and all Ok,
I now have to wire three wall lights up on a 2 way system, I have done this
and find that only one wall light lights up,
What is the Max /min watts bulb required, and why only one light working,
Any advice welcomed
Thanks in advance

What is the Max /min watts bulb required

The maximum is determined by the light fixture itself, based upon the heat generated by the lamp versus how quickly that heat can be dissipated, etc. If you look on the fitting or the documentation which came with it, you should find a maximum wattage marked somewhere.

There's no specific minimum wattage - It can be as low as you like with regular switches (you'll find that some dimmers need a certain minimum size lamp to work properly).

and why only one light working,

Most likely a bad connection somewhere (assuming you've done the obvious of checking that it's not just a dud lamp). Check in the non-functioning light fitting itself, and where the cable which feeds it connects to the rest of the circuit.

Hi Paul

Thank you very much for the information, I traced the problem to the switch not working and also the prongs in the lamp not making contact.
All wall lights working now, thanks again

Regards

George
