I haven't used this panelling before, haven't done much tiing either. Shower panels look like the way forward if I can get some for above the bath.

Does anyone supply custom panels? (probably not laminate). Thick enough to be rigid. For walls above long side and each end. Approx.160cm tall.

Are the various trims for edges, internal corner etc universal or is it best to stick with the panel suppliers proprietary accessories?

Are they difficult to fix to the walls? There's a rendered single leaf masonry wall along the side (skim removed), would new stud walls going in at each end need tile backing board?

Thank y'all kindly.

Dain

Panels are either ply backed laminate around 10mm thick or slightly thinner PVC, available in lots of colours and finishes. Backer board is useful behind PVC as it's not so rigid , easy to install .Use manufacturer trims some are quite specific to the panels.Best cut on site as may need tweaking if walls are out.

At least the new studs will be plumb!

What thickness backer is suitable for the 2 narrow studs going at each end of that wall/each end of the new bath? 1 will go on the new wall to the right of the doorway (that microbore needs to run behind it & over the door to a new towel rad).

Is the 2100 rendered wall (shown) suitable for fixing a PVC panel straight on? It's in good condition.

How much/what thickness of fixative is applied?
