Waste

Why do you and others keep banging on and on and on about this and other stuff associated with the tories. Everybody in the UK knows they are and were a pile of ****. Hopefully they will be voted out at the election, although I cannot see any party doing any better. Of course there are supporters even on this forum but they are misguided people who also tend to think that trump will make a good potus.

Because its a scandal !

There should be protection against this type of waste, regardless of what Government. And if you read the story, you have to wonder why the owners moved to Jersey. Not for tax reasons im sure because this country needs that money badly

But you happily ignore how much effort was put into the AR saga

you have to wonder why the owners moved to Jersey.
It's noy yet known if they made any profit from the UK government and figures only show previous company profits of £800k.

However, a couple of clues here...

"...Mrs Stoute and her husband bought a £30m seafront villa in Barbados; a yacht; a £6m house in the south of England and an international equestrian centre in Bedfordshire..."

You don't seem to think that wasting £1.5 BILLION of taxpayers cash is newsworthy, but sit by quietly as MBK makes a fool of himself, attempting (and failing badly) to smear AR over £2000 quid?

Lol.

This is just the tip of the multi billion pound frauds...

But the fact that there are so many who appear not to care shows how easily they were scammed on all aspects regarding the 'virus'!

The company involved says the 1.5bn figure is nonsense. A bit like AR being “found innocent” on her dodgy taxes.

They say that because around half of the 1.5 billion items is excess stock. That has now probably expired and so needs to be destroyed. Out of 2 billion items total it seems only 250 million will ever be used.

The reason this is important is the procurement process followed by the Tory government was so utterly inept they wasted billions. We need to learn from that so we don't do it again.

I think the issue people are forgetting, is we had a pandemic, with a deadly virus and people trying to help people needed protection. In the end it was defeated with some vaccine, but nobody knew what would work or how many people would die at the time.

Government rightly tried everything it possibly could to save people… and yes it was expensive and I’m sure (hopefully) some lessons will be learned

An inquiry, and a "lessons will be learned" result...

But when the next 'virus' appears, then the same thing will happen all over again!

Only if we ignore people who ask stupid questions like
Why do you and others keep banging on and on and on about this
And as long as we don't minimise the scale of loss by comparing it to a potential £3,000 loss that turns out to be fully paid.
A bit like AR being “found innocent”
The politicians in charge of the procurement scandal should be identified and held to account so they are never trusted in positions of authority again.

And we should have the failures in procurement well documented so the next time some bright spark thinks of creating a nepotism lane for procurement they get fired preemptively.

Even MBK, with his dreadful record on law, accounting, numbers and facts, will recognise that you can't purchase the above, with company profits only totalling £800k, lol.

Tory scum.
