Hi, I have recently moved into a new build apartment block (the building was completed in 2018). I live on a fifth floor and the water pressure here is pretty bad. The block has a communal central boiler and all apartments have water pressure valves/gauges on the main cold water pipe marked as 'boosted CWS' in utility rooms. The current water pressure is showing as 1.5 bars but it looks like you you can crank it up to even 10bars as this is the maximum read on the dial. I'm wondering what's the acceptable level of water pressure that I can increase it to? Will 2.5-3bars will be ok? I want to enjoy my showers but I'm worried that if I increase the pressure this could burst the pipes. Any advise on this?
