Hi

I am about to find someone to service our megaflo unvented system and boiler. We feel that there are a couple of problems 1. the water does not feel as hot as it should, I can easily let it run over my hands (boiler set to max) and 2. wife cant have a 20 minute shower without the hot water running out.

So my questions are so that I can understand this,

1. Are those problems in our heads, should we get more water than 20 mins (id say the pressure/speed is average)?
2. I opened up the grey box - can someone explain the two dials on there - the red one and the top one numbered 1-4?
3. that mains switch, what does it do? Has this system got an immersion? Does it need to be on?

Thanks for any info.

Just to answer a few questions for you, if the water dose t seem to be getting hot enough 20 mins of water for a shower sounds about right.
The little dial numbered 1-4 is a thermostat and is linked to the red button and the red one is the thermostat for the immersion (the thing the red dial is on is the immersion)

From what I can see both thermostats are set to max arnt they?

The top right one tells the boiler when to turn off and stop hearing the water(if it's not set high enough it will turn off early). The red one tells the immersion when to stop heating the water

Thank you.

Yes found that one out - actually was set to 3/5 so have put it up to 4/5. Water definitely hotter so hopefully should extend shower time given she should need less of the hotter stuff.

20 mins ... doh! (facepalm)
