So I have been building out an en-suite and I've done the waste pipework for the basins and the shower.

To get the WC to hook up to the WC3 I need a straight connector, not very long but the standard built-in connector isn't enough. I've tried a McAlpine one:

McAlpine Macfit WC Straight Connector 4"/110mm:
https://www.toolstation.com/mcalpine-macfit-wc-straight-connector/p72849

and in my tests, from where the start turner wc3 meets the extender, it drips as per the attached pictures.

Now from what I have been reading, the manual just states attach directly to the WC pan, no mention of allowing connectors so I'm guessing it's not supported.

I was thinking maybe on the off chance this might work:

McAlpine Straight Telescopic Socket Extension For WC Pan Connectors WC-CON-EXT
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353259582698

Since it's not flexible and solid, otherwise, I have to find a way to get the macerator moved forward and attach it directly.

So open to ideas or open to just being told I have to find a way to make them fit directly, as you can see it's not behind a wall or anything that's one of the big stipulations about the WC3 install.

Cheers

It is leaking because the first connector has fins on the end, the second one may work.
Is there anything in the MI`s about the maximum distance between pan and pump.

Nope there is nothing, I emailed them and they said they don't support anything other than a direct connection and using anything else is unsupported and voids the warranty.

Which is fair enough, I thought it might be the fins and I saw one other post on here from 2019 by someone that said they used an extender

https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/macerator-behind-partition-wall.524093/

But no mention on what they used

So just to confirm I ordered McAlpine Straight Telescopic Socket Extension For WC Pan Connectors WC-CON-EXT and it seems to be working as expected, no leaks!

Thank you for your input!
