Weed /grass killer

Hi again
Firstly thanks to all you geeen fingered people
On my
Other post,

in the back garden besides our
Lawn we have a section of land we would like to extend the turf
To but it’s covered in weeds/ grass and who knows what other things growing !

Is there any recommendations
On something to kill it
All
Off so
I can roast ate
It and lay some new turf

I’m happy to try anything home or shop remedy’s .

also would I be better to rotavate it first then treating it or treat it then rotavate it? thanks again all

Just cover with tarp or black rubble sacks for a couple of weeks to kill it off

buy some professional strength glyphosate

look for brands on amazon or ebay such as Gallop 360 or Rosate

mix 30ml per litre in a sprayer, then spray the leaves till they are wet -it will go down and kill the roots, but wont affect the soil

note that glyphosate doesnt show on the weeds to 2 to 3 weeks -so dont worry it hasnt worked, you will need to leave it a fair while to kill down to the roots before turfing it
