Actually the fever seems to have passed now for some weird reason I still don't seem to be able to walk in a straight line though. Not a good look when you walk into a pub at opening time. I am hoping that is down to the 90% reduction in my usual calorie intake over a 4 day period.
Must try harder tomorrow....

Can't stand the stuff though. Went on the St Jame's Guinness tourin Dublin (mind numbingly boring). At the end of the tour, you are offered a complimentary drink, I asked for a lager. They only had Kaliber (the awful alcohol free stuff), so I opted for a coke...
Yes, basically seen one brewery, seen them all. You would have preferred the one we did in early 90s - Heineken brewery in Amsterdam. After the obligatory tour, we were served pints of Heineken and Dutch cheeses by girls in Dutch national costume. When the beer started they replaced your empty glass with a full one as quickly as you could empty it. It was non-stop. In there at least 1.5 hrs, maybe 2 hours.
I lost track of time!Other good one was Smiles brewery in Bristol one hot summer's night. End of tour it was down to the beer cellar where they had put on an excellent buffet. Best bit was we were allowed to help ourselves to their range of ales straight from the barrel. That must have been the best part of 2 hours.
Spoiled for choice today. My friend bought me a couple of bottles for rescuing her the other day by coming out and changing her wheel. Mind you, probably having pie & mash tonight so I might save them for breakfast tomorrow.

Out playing darts tonight so I will be on Carlsberg , need to keep a clear head
Pinot Grigio tonight. 
We don’t normally have wine mid-week but I had to open a bottle as I needed a splash for a Chicken and pea risotto I made
. Used my own chicken stock too - boiled up a chicken frame from the Sunday roast with any old vegetables I had in the fridge, strained it and then froze it. Try that recipe in the link and just halve the quantities if there are two of you, you won’t be disappointed. I added some fried mushrooms to it too - bloody handsome it was.

I love Pinot Grigio, have about 4 bottles in the house at the moment. Discovered it when Malborough Pinot Grigio, from the Co-op, was mentioned on the TV.
Was always a red wine person, but this got me into white wine.
Thirsty lot out there - that’s the water/soft drinks aisle isn’t it?

That's bad, like something from Soviet era. What were the other shelves like? This obviously isn't a one off or short term problem if they've gone to the trouble of having special displays to fill the huge gaps.
mottie must have been in for his breakfast tipple...
On second thoughts maybe not as it's the water section
