What are you drinking tonight?

Cycled to local. 3 pints Doom Bar, cycled across Downs to Blackboy Hill (how the lefties hate that one :) ). Purchased chicken and chips and cycled back home at warp factor 9 before it went cold in my rucksack. Devoured junk food. Quick JD then bed.

Same Karpackie. 6 cans now. Making the most of it, last weekend.
Diagnosed a high Type 2 Diabetes on Thursday. start some new tablet. Bought a new prick test kit thing on amazon for my own safe feeling. Scared if im honest. 13 stone and 48 yrs old.

Sauvignon Blanc with our chicken, mushroom and pea risotto. The wine was left over from yesterday's winner winner chicken dinner. £7 from Sainsbury's. 7/10.

Tonight the Laphroaig 10yr is coming out.

Just heard on the grapevine that the legendary pub landlord, who taught us all so much in our youth, has recently passed.

That stuff really is an acquired taste. Such a strong smell, almost like something industrial. Someone bought me one in the local couple of years ago. Just sniffed it and couldn't go any further with it. Gave it to a Romanian friend because EEs drink lots of spirits. He drank it, but went outside and was sick on the bonnet of the landlord's car.

I'll stick with the JD or Monkey Shoulder.

Same age, but lighter than me. I am off the booze now. Probably forever. Medical reasons.

There are only 5 Scottish malt whisky's worth bothering, & this is one of them.

"Awa’ an bile yer heid".

Fleurie. Mrs Motties favourite. About a tenner from Sainsburys. £14 from Majestic. A cracking Cru Beaujolais. 10/10

A French Rosé tonight with our moules. £5.99 at Lidl. Much better than that £19 bottle of 'Whispering Angel' we had last week. 8/10.

Brother and I took our Mum out for her 86th yesterday to a country pub for lunch. Only had Wadworths beers, which I don't like - so had to settle for a couple of pints of Gold to accompany my food. Always enjoy it, but definitely a drink for warmer weather.

Aye, warmer weather is the best; but it's sunny and bright today, all the windows are open for a fresh breeze to sweep away the last of winter and this cider is really cutting through the dust i've endured this past six weeks - not too dry, not too sweet: just right.:D
