What are you drinking tonight?

Tonight with our salmon, new potatoes, allotment green beans and Hollandaise sauce we had a Rosé from my favourite French rosé producer - Kylie Minogue. I imagine the grapes were trod personally by Kylie herself, squashing the grapes between her tiny toes on her tiny feet on her tiny legs whilst wearing her hot pants. In all seriousnes, it wasn’t half bad. Only £7 and with the 25% I got off for buying 6 bottles (not all Kylie!) it came out at just £5.25. I’d definitely recommend it. It's a (y) from me.

Merlot. Never heard of this one before but it was nice. Our daughter and her husband treated us to a meal out for Mrs Motties birthday.

Had a nice Pinot Noir tonight. Full bodied with raspberry flavours. Soft and fruity with velvety tannins too. Well, I was enjoying it until I saw where it came from. The taste changed immediately. Bloody rubbish! ;)

A Pinot Noir tonight. Now, I know we only drink with our evening meals mainly Friday to Sunday with the occasional Thursday - and this is at Mrs Motties 'advice' , but for once, after a hard morning at the liver clinic followed by an afternoon of caring for her mother who has the onset of dementia, it was her suggestion to have a glass with the Spag Bol I had cooked for her.

Went out for dinner tonight with friends. Just a G&T followed by a T on its own as I was driving.

I got a bottle of one of Mrs Motties favourite wines for and guess what? She fancied a glass of Appletiser instead! Oh well…..
