What are you watching on TV right now?

I’m binge watching NCIS. Just finished episode 23 in series 1. It’s currently on series 19 so I think I’ll be at it for quite a while!

I enjoyed the first couple of seies of NCIS but then they started doing it in various states/cities, even one in the UK with Bradley Walsh, and my interest soon waned. It becomes so repetitive once you know how they are going to find the culprit. I used to like, (fancy), Abbie, the Goth girl in the original series.

That was Law and order, not ncis ;)

You're correct, the British one was Law & Order. My mistake, but the other NCIS' started being based in Miami, (not too bad), and then other places around America which became 'same old, same old'. I think I saw a trailer for one a while ago based in Chicago. How many times can you re-invent the same plot lines and expect it to be as popular?

858 and counting apparently.

"As of October 11, 2021, 858 episodes of the NCIS franchise have aired. The main NCIS series is the longest-running show of the franchise, which premiered its nineteenth season on September 20, 2021".

NCIS series locations are stories based on US Navy Bases, the first and main series was based Qantico Virginia.
Then NCIS New Orleans series ( Which I think has been dropped)
Then NCIS Los Angles Covers Navy Base San Diego .

As from next spring there will be another NCIS Series "NCIS Hawaii".
Some interesting facts regarding NCIS have emerged, there is always an " on Board" NCIS agent on all US Navy Ships .
NCIS have Outposts at all Navy ports that the US Navy call in, so we could end up with a series " NCIS Portsmouth UK "

There was also episodes of NCIS Miami which, for some unknown reason, was abruptly pulled at the end of the 10th season.

Rick Stein in Germany trying out all the local dishes. Very unappetising. Sorry, but it all looks like **** to me!

Must admit German cuisine was a bit ordinary when we have visited, sausage schnitzel & dumplings, good wine beer & brandy though

Oh, am watching Squid Game

It is what it is.

Some programme on C4 about grown up men being breast fed.

It's a bit like.....

Autumnwatch. Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan at their double entendre best talking about beavers and woodcocks. "I love a woodcock". I'm sure they have some kind of private joke going on between them.

Anyone remember this?
