What does a naval blockade cost?

The battle of La Drang Valley was claimed as a victory by both sides so it depends who you ask, really.
Made into a fine film, one of Mel Gibson's best, i reckon. The firefight in the dry gulch was bloody and brutal.

The result is the only thing that counts.

The result was the US with drew fir various reasons

The south Vietnamese army (AVRN) who had billions of dollars thrown at it collapsed

Same in dire ear a stan billions of dollars spent on a fictions ahfghan army which collapsed with in days of the American / nato pull out

Which battles did the Americans lose ??

( Unlike the French )

I've never particularly liked the French, cowards and scoundrels without exception, or so I thought. One thing that niggled me, when the Krauts (Bader Meinhof) and their PLO chums hijacked the Air France jet forcing it to land at Entebbe, over a several day period 184 non Israeli passengers were released and flown to France, 94 exclusively Jewish people were held back almost certainly to be executed.

The French pilot and 12 French aircrew, refused the offer of freedom and insisted on staying with the Jewish captives.

That takes some balls, Captain Michel Bacos was his name, died in 2019, RIP.

Weird that there are some people pretending USA was not defeated in Vietnam.

They surrendered then? Or did they sign a peace treaty that only America honoured?
