What have you bought today?

Easy done, lol. Cheaper to grow from seed :)
You doing runner beans this year? It was you who eats them raw wasn't it?
Yep, coming on nicely, had a few peas growing as well, found some old seed (sow by 2014) so took a chance. Haven't a clue what I'm doing, so the few I harvested got eaten straight from the pod. Got about 30 pepper (bell) plants I grew from seed, no sign of buds yet, but here's hoping,oh, and some garlic, which again, I had no clue how to grow them, but I got some cloves from shop bought garlic and put them in a pot(a bit too deep I found out) back in December and they are almost ready to pull up.

today i treated myself to a new drill and impact driver,

my existing Hitachi although still works well is 7 yeas old, and has taken some abuse, the trigger broke off a few years ago and i been using it without, however was using it the other day to screw on cladding onto a wall and and it became to uncomfortable to use. After much research i opted for the KC18DPL2/JA, was a bit more money than i wanted to pay, but the features of the drills should last me at least another 7 years, though if the wife asks it cost half what i paid...

Sounds like you do know what you're doing really! :-)
Nice one over peas - yeah, I grow them too and eat all of them fresh out the pod as well. Delish :-)

Today I bought my lunch at the corner shop nearest to where I was working. A mixed bag!

Three hessian sacks. Small medium and large to store my garlic, onions and potatoes in.

Actually, the feel and the smell of the large one brought back a horrible memory. About 55 years ago when I was in infant school, I got to play the part of one of Robin Hoods merry men in the school play. My mum made my outfit by dying a potato sack green, cutting some holes for my head and arms and putting a belt round me. I only had my pants on underneath it. It was the most itchiest piece of 'clothing' I'd ever worn!

Oh, and Mrs M's Marks's beauty bag that @sodthisforfun found for me on eBay finally turned up today - the day after her birthday but she was well chuffed with it. Thanks sod. (y)

As it's our 3rd wedding anniversary today, and we are on holiday in Norfolk, I jokingly said to my wife as we walked into a discount store, "I wonder if they sell Lancaster Bomber in here, as we are closer to Lincolnshire than back home?" I stopped at the DIY aisles and she said she would meet me outside. Didn't buy anything so decided to go out to the car and wait. Standing chatting to my granddaughter when this bloke comes out pushing a clinking trolley behind my wife. Under a few jigsaws and some other bits and pieces there were 30 bottles of Lancaster Bomber Ale! :-) She found them 2 rows past the DIY section so took all their stock but, because she is disabled, had to ask one of the store staff to push the heavy trolley outside for her.
In return I paid for lunch at the wildlife park and dinner from a small restaurant which was offering take-aways near the caravan site. Some lovely rib eye steaks done to perfection with minted new potatoes, peas, broccoli and peppercorn sauce. They also threw in 18 profiteroles with a tub of chocolate sauce as a anniversary gift. :-)

Early purchase today. New Sony cube alarm clock radio to replace our 20+ year old Sony cube clock radio alarm with a non working alarm! It used to be the back up alarm in case Mrs Motties alarm fails to go off but she’s been using her phone as the second alarm but swears it gives off bad vibes/electromagnetic fields that are affecting her sleep. (n) Ordered from Amazon just now, being delivered by 10.00 tonight. (y)

Is it safe to sleep close to an electrical socket?

Lol. If I died tomorrow and the wife sold all my stuff for what I told her I paid for it, someone out there would be getting a bargain!

Reminds me of my old next door neighbour, who passed away suddenly and far too young.....

Going through the corners of the garage afterwards, his missus was sorting through his fishing gear.
Obviously, he couldn't and didn't hide the fact that he went fishing.
Obviously, he had wisely not told her how much some of the gear had cost (y)

£3k for a pole (and he had a few of them)

My neighbour tells me that her husband is a keen angler, and likes to go night-fishing on Saturdays, returning home on Sunday morning.

Rather than spend time on the beach alone, she tells me he likes to find buddies on a local anglers website.

"plenty of fish," its called.
