People talk about the established parties being stale, tired, devoid of (good) ideas/policy with little to differentiate amongst them.

Time for a change many say.

However, if you take a party like Reform, how do you think things would play out if they actually won the election with a decent majority and formed the next government? I always think it's relatively easy to bemoan this that the other and promise the earth when in opposition and/or if you know you're unlikely to ever be in power.

I suspect once in power, even Reform would start to dilute many of their harder hitting ideas whether through choice or otherwise, do you agree?

As an aside (might have been mentioned in one of the other threads) Farage is making an 'emergency announcement' at 4pm ...

It is easy to push unrealistic, unfunded policies when you are a minority party as A) you dont get scrutinised and B) you dont suffer the restrictions of the major parties which need swing voters to support them in key marginals

Same argument goes for the Green party, plenty of lefties are saying "I cant vote Labour, Im going to green because they have progressive policies" -well of course they do, they dont need to gain 125 seats to win

Lib latest - will clean up the rivers etc. Using magic money?

The 4pm emergency announcement by Farage is that he will become leader of Reform UK.

I see Farage is giving us his Trump speech: “The political class has failed you, but good ole Farridge is anti establishment, A man of the people”

Do people fall for that populist sh1t

Trump and Farage: they are the swamp

Could garbage tell us about any brexit benefits?

Of course not...

He's merely repeating his racist b ollux!

And surprise surprise, he's going to stand in essex

turds of a feather ;)

Comes back to my point in the other thread, be careful what you wish for Reform, you might just win!!!

You have to laugh, Reform say they can right all the wrongs, just as Rishi says, and Keir, and Ed, and up here in Scotland John (Swinney)

'We're leading a revolt ... yes a revolt!' says Nigel. They're on the side of the ordinary person.

Finishes speech by saying 'I've done it before, I'll surprise everybody!'
