can anyone tell me what a tracking cookie is and how i get rid of them?
would these be the reason my computer has gone so slow?
i cant even get my music to play its that slow.

get a decent anti virus / spyware package like norton or virgin pcguard to cut down the risks of invasion.
2. cut down on the porn sites you visit.....
3. set up automatic updates from windows to run at least once a week

once you have norton or similar do a scan and then fix the problems found.

have you defragmented or done a disc clean !!

cookies tend to be usefull when you save passwords if you deleat cookies you need to re-enter

That is one of the pains of Windows - you should be able to flag cookies as safe and delete the rest so you don't have to keep setting up your logins after a clean out. Alternatively is the a way of copying them out and back that I don't know?

I lol'd at the Norton's referral too....sorry kev :)

For cookie management i use CCleaner, it's pretty good for that.
But as said, anti-virus/spyware/malware are very important to avoid nasties.
But purely for cookie cleansing, CCleaner for me, its free.
There's also TuneUp Utilities too.
