Hello. We cannot find the material of the panel used on the ceiling of the house we just bought. We lost one due to a water leak and can't replace it right now. I need help. I leave the photos. I hope someone knows. Have a nice day.

Note: It has the ability to absorb water and is not plasterboard.

The old ceiling tiles are tongue and groove style and are stapled up. Will be difficult to fit a new piece in there
Buy a piece of plasterboard and cut it to size, screw into place and paint it to match the same colour as the existing
Add a small beading or cover trim around the edges to make it neat

Does it have a different name and we have no chance of finding it?
