What is the generally accepted thickness of toughened glass for a balustrade around a stairway and gallery landing? And separately what is the recommended thickness? I ask for both in case there is a difference.

Typically for a framed domestic balustrade 10mm, which is also the minimum I recall, much thicker if frameless.
