Hi , am new here :))
I'm going to be using Acrow props for a project soon for the first time but I've been told things about people fighting with them - struggling to adjust the final height etc., is it really that bad? I had a look into alternatives (brick brace etc.) but they are just so expensive..
Thanks,
From Squaky

Depends what you're propping. Trying to lift stuff (eg a bowing ceiling) with acros is hard work-better making a tee with some 4 x 2 and using a car jack to do the lift (follow it with the acro every 5mm or so).
Propping is easy- I usually use a scaff podger or similar to give it the last quarter turn.
Don't forget load spreaders (if you're working on suspended floor or any markable surface)

What's so hard about rotating a screw thread?

However if you mean adjust the height of whatever you are propping, then you're not doing it right.
