Which one of these Satellite cables is good?

Hello,

I need to replace the wire from the sky satellite to the receiver. Only the run which comes from the dish to just inside the house will be replaced. I intend to use a connector to connect the two wires together. The cable inside the house is fine and will be too much work to replace it etc.

I have been reading a bit about these coaxial cables and found the following

From the spec all three seem to be similar. Solid 1mm copper core foam insulated and copper shielding with copper braiding.

The length of cable which I need is less than 10 meters.

Would anyone of these do the job? I understand there is the webro wf100 cable. I looked at the spec, they all seem to be identical if not similar. I am on a budget

you are overthinking this.
There will be zero, none, zilch difference to the quality of the signal for what you are using it for. Even cat5 cable would surfice for this.
just use the lowest cost....

The three you linked to already are up to WF100 spec. (foam dielectric)

CT100 hasn't existed for years(due to it's hollow tubed dielectric allowing water to run inside the cable), but these websites and Google know darn well that people will still search for the term 'CT100'.

All-copper foam filled cable is especially important for external use.

Using all copper has nothing to do with losses (except wrt to DC power for LNB); rather all to do with longevity/corrosion and better screening capability.

Of those three

Wickes own brand - who knows? but they do say all copper...

Use of the correct size F-plug to match cable diameter is important for good reliable connections. Particularly if existing cables are WF65 small diameter shotgun style ones.
 
Don't forget the Silicon Grease to coat the cable ends and 'F'plugs on all external connections. stops corrosion and therefore signal loss.

Thank you. I have bought some Silicon Grease. I was looking at the Twisting F connectors as I don’t need to buy any extra tool to attach them.

I do have some copper TV aerial wire which is copper 1mm i believe with copper braiding and foam inside. But it is not as thick as the “sky cable” which is installed. This is why I thought I should buy some new wire, otherwise I was going to use this. But I think I will have an issue when trying to join the two wires using the connectors.

The Time Cable in the FAQs has replied to a question where they say it is solid copper.

Wicked also claims it is solid copper.

The existing cable says this on the wire - CB1OR DIGITAL SAT CBL UK CAI0039D (12/07) TM090607 25331 219M

Only single screened so not recommended for satellite use.
The foil inside the braid ensure less gets in (or out) of the cable on proper satellite stuff.
That your cable is thinner than the $ky shotgun cable is alarming! Possibly it is ancient VHF TV stuff?
Don't be tempted to use it!

I've found an image of that cable... twin white shotgun style of the thin WF65 type 4.1mm diameter each (cf the UHF coax brown of 6+ mm diameter. https://i.redd.it/cwvb2gch3dz71.jpg

WF100 is 6.5 diameter and probably need the hole enlarging to get two (or a shotgun WF100 type) through from outside.
Note that the screw on F connectors are different to suit the two cable diameters, so make sure to buy the right type(s).

Screw on F connectors are fine, but must be the correct size. You can also get female to female, back to back, joiners, to connect cables together. F's are quite cheap..

I believe the Wickes cable is copper core, braid and foil aswell. From the photo is seems this way.

My applogies I should have been more clearer, I only need a single cable as the sky receiver is not the sky + box.

Yes the TV aerial wire is very old. Over 15 years easily. I bought it to replace the TV Aerial wire but never got around to replacing it.
