When linking to products that I am recommending, unless a given site is significantly cheaper, I am happy to link to a site that generates income for this site. Why not publish a list of those sites?

Because it's non of your business - it's theirs.

Those sites will change often, the list would need constant updating,

I appreciate that it is their business. As a forum member, I have a vested interest in them being profitable. The site owners have no problem with automatically inserting messages saying that the site may not receive any revenue from hyperlinks for products recommended (that, presumably, are not on their affiliate list).

In your opinion, why would they do that were it not their hope that us regular users would link to sites with affiliate links?

Having maintained my own, very small forum. many years ago, I doubt that relative to the requisite maintenance time, the time spent to publish any such list would be significant.
