Hi all my partners parents have given us there old white knight tumble dryer which we've put in the garage. The only problem is there appears to be a small leak on the underneath on the right side.

It's drying our clothes fine just wondered if anyone had any ideas what I should look out for if I attempt to repair it?

There doesn't appear to be any fluff in the vents

Also there's black tape on the front underneath the grill in the middle??

Can't read the model number but is it, perchance, a condensing dryer (doesn't need a pipe through the wall). If it is, there'll be a water reservoir needing frequent emptying...

Hi yes it's a condenser, the model number is C77AS

The water reservoir? Would that be the draw at the top left,if that's the case it leaks even after we've emptied it

Have you pushed the draw in Fully or is there something stopping it , has the container got a hole in it ?

As far as I can see the draw goes fully in and doesn't appear to have any holes in it.

I'm going to see if I can take the top and sides off later today and switch it on so I can see where the waters coming from.

If we leave it on for an hour there's a small puddle always on the right side opposite the water reservoir

Right took the machine apart today and there's this bit in which i noticed was damp and its on the bottom right side. The instruction manual says its the Inlet Duct Case Assembly the seal looks like its perished on 1 corner???? Also theirs another white plastic part which looks like its had silicone or some sort of adhesive stuck on it?

Would i get away with putting more silicone round it and letting it set?? would the silicone be ok getting hot & cold?

I suppose i could order a new seal
