to source 75 x 19 or 100 x 19 PAR/PSE?

Every site I go on, including the sheds, allow you to put the size in, even give you alternative suggestions, but then when you click on them you get told 'Search found no results'.
I can 25mm but not 19mm It's so frustrating.

Wheres jobandknock when you you need him! Par timber has more taken off than sawn treated but neither comes in round figures e.g. 75 or 100mm, so you need to rip the next size up, or to join two pieces together and plane down.

Blup

As a chippy I find the whole timber sizing system for PSE to be a right royal pain in the bottom, a favourite of my supplier is to list as "ex" ex 25mm x 50mm which is 22mm x 45/46/47mm.

Ex this Ex that, I just want to know the size

I'm getting not the size it was.

Have you got a local lumber/timber yard, I only buy timber from bona-fide timber suppliers, not sheds...

Moan over.

Thanks for assuring me I'm not alone guys. I only use sheds as a pricing guide normally. The stuff I've seen in them is usually twisted, warped or damaged so only buy small stuff like dowelling or the odd short length of cls, so go to timber merchants for big/decent stuff. as you both say, we work out what we want in 'imperial' then find it's smaller after being planed/sawn using metric.
I've found a timber yard not too far away who will cut/plane to the size you want, (obviously you will need to buy a size up), so you get the size you actually want. They even allow you to help if you want to so you can check the size of a piece of scrap before they cut your actual purchase. Will try popping over on Saturday morning to have a look and a chat.
