not sure derogatory comments help it says more about you than anything else??
the truth is we all think we are more intelligent than the average, but we are actually the "twaats"in some areas in other people's eyes ----- perhaps better description is selfish'acting childish'stubborn'stupid'acting ignorantly'defiant --applies to most from both sides about others ---we need a bit more awareness and a bit less frustration with more tolerance towards the action off others again from both sides
we are all both guilty off both sides off the argument
;)

I do try my best to be as less of a twàt as possible, so less people think I'm a twāt. I will always be twât in the eyes of some people. I just try to limit the amount of eyes by being a thoughtful decent human being.
However I don't always achieve this and accept that I can be a twāt.

How are those line markings different other than the short bit of line at the front.

The real difference is the wider spacing….which we absolutely need now that cars are so much bigger.

Apart from width my Mondeo is too long for most spaces, even if it’s touching the end of the space, it still sticks out.

Our Sainsbury’s has had those markings for a few years now.

Problem is that there are far too many wide cars around here that struggle to park full stop.

Shame they didn’t make them wider

In town the oldest car park has the widest bays ….. built around 40 years ago yet the newest are much narrower whilst cars have got bigger !

My sainsburys too have similar.
Mine too

Better, is to alternate - one nose in, next nose out. That way you can leave the driver's side door, with a much wider gap, Drop and collect passengers, before you park, if necessary.

That's a good idea Harry but we have to many "don't give a fùcks to do somthing so simple"

I pulled into my local Asda last night and just as I put the handbrake on and switched off, a car in front of me was reversing towards me. I assumed they were pulling out of the space in front of me. What I then witnessed (I stayed to watch in case I needed to reverse my car out of harms way) was akin to something you'd see on a YT clip. It became evident the driver had obviously been trying to park in the space in front of me when I arrived, couldn't manage it so was reversing out. Yep, he evidently couldn't even drive into a space.

He eventually got the car out, then proceeded to reverse down the lane a bit, doing approx. 0.5 mph. Both himself and the passenger wetting themselves laughing. He then started trying to park in another space and was evidently going to have the same issues. However they were away from my car so at that point I left them to it.

I conclude he was either drunk, high, completely incompetent at parking or a combo of all three.

We have a local small co-op and its spaces don't have the double space lines, however the spaces are maybe a couple of feet wider than a standard space. Makes all the difference. However most business don't want to do this as they want to cram as many spaces in as possible. which yes you can understand before anyone says it!

The difference between 4x4's that never go off road and hedgehogs is...

Hedgehogs have pricks on the outside!
