Please let me know if this possible. I would like to run and electric shower head off of my 12v dc to 110v ac power inverter (2000 watt constant, 4000 peak) on my truck. I would use an electric pump to run the water from a lake or stream. Assuming that I can provide the required water pressure will it work? I am worried about grounding as well, since the truck sits on rubber tires. Do I become the “earth ground” while taking the shower? Is there other safety concerns that I should be thinking about?

Thanks!

an instant heat shower is going to need at least arround 7000 watts and for a decent flow rate more like about 9000, running that kind of load off batteries is kinda impractical.

don't forget that's 7kW minimum sized element at 230V.

As the OP is intending to use a 110V inverter you're looking at something more like a minimum of 15kW

no your still looking at 7KW but ofc at 110V your talking well over 60 amps to achive that power.

Why don't we ask Mr Buck how he is going to heat the water?

Thanks for the replys. I had no idea it would require 7000 watts  Oh well, was just an idea. :D
