Windows 10 Transfer?

Hi All,
I currently have a laptop with Windows 10, but looking to replace it with a self build desktop.
Rather than purchasing a new Windows 10, is there any way of transferring it from my laptop?
The laptop came with it pre-installed.

Use the money to buy Windows 11.

Windows supplied with hardware is not intended to be transferred to anything else.
You agreed to those terms when you activated Windows on the laptop.

That will fail, as all of the hardware drivers won't be compatible with the new machine.

If your current Windows 10 is working you should be able to extract the product key and use this to activate the Windows 10 installation on your new desktop. Although if the OS came preinstalled on the laptop it may not be accepted. There could be restrictions on OEM provided keys, but it's worth a try.

Directions from the Microsoft forums and doesn't require any additional software.
