Hi All,
I currently have a laptop with Windows 10, but looking to replace it with a self build desktop.
Rather than purchasing a new Windows 10, is there any way of transferring it from my laptop?
The laptop came with it pre-installed.
Cheers
Doug

Remove 2.5" HDD from laptop and whack it in the desktop with 3.5" bay converter, then take the product license key label off the case of the laptop

Blimey, when did you last see a printed key?

Sell the laptop
Use the money to buy Windows 11.

Windows supplied with hardware is not intended to be transferred to anything else.
You agreed to those terms when you activated Windows on the laptop.

Remove 2.5" HDD from laptop and whack it in the desktop with 3.5" bay converter,
That will fail, as all of the hardware drivers won't be compatible with the new machine.
