Hi... And happy New year
We're renovating an old property and I want to reinstate the phone socket, which had to be moved due to walls being pulled apart
There's a junction box where the phone line comes into the house. First pic below.
The phone line then went into what I think is a BT NT5. However, there's only one wire connected! (Think the other one must have got pulled out during building work.)
The strange thing is that the blue wire with white rings is attached the opposite way round (B and A) at junction box and main socket.
I've also replaced the old phone line inside the house. Which way round should connections be and does it matter what colour wires I use with new cable as long as they are right way round?
Thanks
