Afternoon

I have just installed the hive combi boiler thermostat and wanted to see if I had done it right.

From Myson touch v2 to Hive.

Thank you in advance.

When there are two conductors in a clamp terminal a more reliable connection is made when there is one conductor each side of the screw.

This method keeps the clamping plate level with equal pressure on both conductors.

If both conductors are on the same side of the screw then the clamping plate can tilt pivoting on the conductor nearest the screw.
The conductor nearest the screw gets the majority of the pressure from the clamping plate while the conductor furthest from the screw has much less pressure from the clamping plate and hence a poor / unreliable connection is formed.

What do you think?
