Wood flooring- previous owner made a mess how to finish off?

Hi all,

This is my first post on this forum, just moved into a new property and there is some wood flooring which isn’t sat flush to the edge of some bifold doors.. there is a big gap and I am not sure of to seal/finish it off. Currently hidden by door mats which is why we didn’t see it on our visit to the house and was not picked up by the surveyor. There are no spare boards left behind by the previous owners.

You could try an "L" section door threshold, or edge trim?

You might be able to remove the skirting at the other end of the room and tap the flooring back, flush to the door frame. Over time it may have slid further under the skirting.

You will need a pull bar and hammer

can not really tell but that looks like Oak T&G to me in which case its either a floating floor or it is glued down. If it is floating then there should be an expansion gap all around so if you fix an L profile as the link already posted it should be fixed to the threshold or base floor or both that the top floor can move under it. But first you are going to have to make room for it unless you use a thin L

Wear trainers, and try sharply kicking/pushing the boards back into place..

Yes thats another good trick I do with laminate take your shoes and socks of and make sure you have sticky feet and bunny hop in the direction you want them to go. When I fit laminate now I add some sort of cork or a stiff foam like pipe insulation consistency to the expansion gap.

Have used L shape Ali angle sprayed to match frame colour to edge flooring
