Do you guys have YouTube Premium, or are you patient enough to wait?

YouTube is adding too many ads, especially the 20-second non-skippable ones. Youtube is saying that they are preventing people from using adblockers now. I can bear with ads, but not the annoying, inappropriate ones. The ads that advertise things make me less interested in what people are offering. The pop-up ads that used to come while watching a video were okay, but YouTube decided to remove them not so long ago.

I find the use of adverts absolutely fking absurd. I think you will find 95% of the public or higher automatically switch off to any Youtube advert be it preferential of interest or not, its instantly associated with annoyance and negativity blocking me to what i want to do in that moment so any especially repetitive that may start to ebb into my conscious is marked even more negative.
I can for example relate to that fckwit campaign of some old codger and the Snap 'ive got the power' advert. Whatever it was, it annoys the sh't out of me, and ruined what was a classic old tune.

I use ad blocker which still works well on my desktops.

I would consider subscribing to Youtube at a fairer price. But at £12/month plus Spotify plus Netflix plus Amazon prime plus Disney+ plus Zwift plus Strava plus every other subscription there's some which i don't find value for money and more importantly, id prefer an 'internet bundle' deal. But that's not happening is it really.

Do creators that you watch get paid from ads if you've got premium?

I believe they get paid no matter what, as it's about hits i believe, as i subcribe/follow to many without paying a premium for exclusive bs etc.

since the fixed add , i do watch less now , mainly on a lot of people i subscribed to , and depends now on the cover whether i bother - in the pst i used to watch most of the subscriptions but i have got choosy , notice they seem on some to appear a lot more often ......

On Android you download and Install the APK. You then disable the open link function for YouTube and add the YouTube links to NewPipe so it picks up instead.

This reminds me when I used to pay for a DVD only to find that there would be several minutes of adverts before the feature you have paid for and, worse it wouldn't let me skip them.

Install brave browser.
Switch on ad blocker that's built in.
YouTube plays a treat with no adverts. Also plays with screen off if you want to listen.
Ok to sign into your YouTube account for subscribers.

Simple really
