2010 Zafira. Fan used to run at 113 degrees.. strange right? Now it doesn't even run. Temperature at 127c and fan not kicking in. All relays test okay...

At 100 degrees without the fan running should I be worried? I mostly do short trips... doesn't state anything on the manual...

I am reminded of my old Metro...
Driving in slow summer traffic meant having the heater and blower on maximum, windows down and getting very sweaty
I'm glad cars are a lot more reliable these days! :)

Check the connections at the fan! I had a 1986 Astra 1.3 which nearly cooked becuase the fan connections were corroded!

Check the thermal switch.
If you short the switch out, does the fan run?

And, of course, the obvious. Fuse.

Update: Okay, so I managed to discover that there are two relays for the cooling fan. Presumably, one for low and high speed. Before, when the fan was working, it used to work at 113 degrees, so that was probably the high-speed one. Some research says that the lower speed should run around 95 degrees, which has never happened! Fiddling about with it more, I discovered one relay for the low speed was missing (which is why the low speed never worked). I moved the high-speed relay (which stopped working anymore) to low-speed and the fan kicked in at 113 degrees.

That tells me the wiring to the high-speed relay to the fan is not continuous.

One thing I'm confused about is that if I moved the high-speed fan relay to the low-speed space, shouldn't it run at 95 degrees instead of 113? Why is it still running at 113?????
