Finally getting round to changing the bath panel from a cheap plastic front to a wooden mdf front.
I'm a bit nervous about cutting it down, what tool would be best to do the job?
Dad mentioned a jigsaw ??
Heavy duty saw
Hacksaw
Circular saw
Any ideas?
Hi all.
We recently moved into this house and noticed a strange raised patch in the bathroom floor.
The tiles seem well sealed and stable and there is no obvious leak. We rarely use the bath.
I am wondering if this is harmess, like a poorly evened floor, or something more sinister.
The previous...
my bathroom ceiling was a bit mouldy, so i painted it white. i think it had got so damp and mouldy that some of the ceiling near to the extractor had cracked and fallen off - I'm worried it could be asbestos. what do people think? please see pictures. the house was built in 1971 in ellesmere...

Evening all!
When we fill our bath and get in, it drops by at least half a CM. The silicone has consequently been damaged, and while it needs replacing, I am concerned it is just going to keep happening and where it keeps coming away I worry water from the shower will get behind the bath...

I have just had a bathroom installed. Things have gone well, except for a leak which has recurred for the 3rd time. I'm getting concerned that they are trying to cover up a more serious problem. What would you think based on the following?
Dripping reported from downstairs flat (below my...
Good afternoon,
Looking for a bit of advice,
Going to screed a downstairs concrete bathroom floor prior to fitting with tiles, doesnt look to be any DPM down previously. So basically on top of the concrete floor, prior to screeding, I was going to put either a 'one coat' paste like one...

Rules & Regs for bathrooms,
Could someone please give me the lowdown on what can or cannot be done with bathroom lighting by a home DIY'er?
My story, I have knocked down the wall in between my bathroom and airing cupboard, as I am wanting to turn the old cupboard into a shower. I have an...
I’m in the process on renovating our bathroom and taking out the copper cylinder etc, well not me a plumber. At the back of the airing cupboard is an old 16amp immersion circuit that is no longer used. The immersion heater was removed when I installed the CH about 35 years ago. The outlet is...
I feel like I've written about this a million times, but here goes....

Hi,
What would be the best way (or is there a tool) to remove the wood paneling from the bathroom wall, please? Stuff like knives and wall-paper strippers just bend, if I get any leverage, and my crowbar is too thick to get in behind each panel. I'm presuming it was glued on. I can't see any...
We are planning to chop up our large bathroom to a small bathroom incorporating the airing cabinet and to a bedroom. I have no idea where to place the toilet bowl, sink and shower or the measurements. This is going to be the main bathroom (only a wc downstairs). I am not planning to have a tub...
Hi,
I’m in the process of remodelling my bathroom. Currently at the stage of plumbing the bath and wall hung WC. I’m planing to install a toilet douche (thermostatic, it will need hot and cold supply) and for the bath, I have an overflow Hudson Reed filler. I would like to know if these two...
Bear with me, this is a long story:
This the 5th time I've had this work done, and no body seems to know the cause. I have a bath mounted shower, which comes off a bath mixer tap which come from the floor. (THERES NO PIPES IN THE WALL). This was all originally fitted with new tiles after I...
